Description
MAX-Control bits are visually barely distinguishable from conventional double-jointed bits. What makes them special: from a certain angle – i.e. only with stronger rein contact from the rider or with strong pull from the horse – the mouthpiece locks and briefly forms a bar. This effect only sets in gently, but enables precise communication. When the horse yields, this effect immediately eases.
The MAX-Control pelham is double-jointed and can develop a bar effect when the reins are taken up. It enables targeted and effective aids that act on the tongue, poll and lower jaw. Depending on the fastening the leverage on the poll can be varied as required. This gives you the option to respond individually to your horse.
The bit is often used in combination with pelham converters. When rider and horse are already more advanced, using two pairs of reins is recommended: this way the leverage can be applied as sensitively as possible. The pelham is used together with a curb chain and a curb chain guard. A pelham is particularly recommended for riders with sensitive hand contact.
